I don’t remember which post I commented on at Holley Gerth’s site. But THERE is a woman with a strong gift of encouragement!
I’d love to get to extend an offer to pray for you and/or to get to know you better. I have been praying for a mentor (someone who will simply encourage me in the ways of the Lord and offer advice in difficult times), but that doesn’t necessarily mean that we are the right fit. I am proud of you for starting to listen to the Lord’s leading instead of bemoaning the lack of older mentoring women. I am sorry that this dream has not been realized in your own life, but encourage you to go boldly forth! He has great plans for you and is using women just like you to redirect our country’s future!!

I just popped over to your blog after feeling led to respond to your comment on Holley Gerth’s blog and the first thing I saw was this. I’m an “older woman” (54 in a couple of weeks) and although I’ve longed for years to have a godly older woman to mentor me, I’ve recently been feeling the Lord leading me to mentor others. I’m not exactly sure what that will look like, but I’m praying about it and I’m saying yes to whatever God has in mind. Your blog feels like confirmation, so thank you for that.
